Robert (Bob) Clark is a Business Continuity Consultant / Manager, a Fellow of the Institute of Business Continuity Management, a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management Although he has an IT background, his extensive business continuity experience includes all aspects of the Life Cycle and was primarily developed at IBM (15 years), Fujitsu (11 years). This encompassed both internally managed initiatives and client focused consultancy including ISO 22301.
Bob has a Master of Science Degree in Business Continuity, Security and Emergency Management awarded by Bucks New University in 2012. In the same year he became a Business Continuity Institute approved trainer and has run BCI licensed training courses including the five day course that prepares students to sit for the BCI’s Certificate. In 2014 he became an associate lecturer (part time) at Manchester Metropolitan University where he delivers business continuity to both undergraduate and post graduates.
With a number of publications to his name, Bob has also written four business continuity related books which have been published by ITGP in both softcover and eBook format. The first of these books, "In Hindsight - a compendium of business continuity case studies"reached the Number One spot of the Amazon best sellers lists shortly after its publication.
His third book, " Business Continuity and the and the Pandemic Threat" has also become a world best seller as IT Governance Publishing Sales Director, Sophie Sayer, explains :
An experienced manager, he has directed large, high profile programmes and projects including business continuity initiatives for prestigious financial services organisations and for two Central Governments. Between 1999 and 2004, Bob was the Head of the Project Management Practice for DMR / Fujitsu Consulting.
For a five year period, he held the position of Resourcing Director for Fujitsu Consulting Northern Europe managing around 1,500 consultants across 5 countries. This position was relinquished following a merger.
Bob's experience is multi-national and multi-cultural having worked in twelve different countries. His communication and mentoring skills are excellent and he has a track record of engaging at all levels of organisations including board members for large organisations plus two Prime Ministers.

It also looks at both the positive and negative sides of social media including its dark side through a variety of over forty examples taken from a cross section industry sectors.
